Biography

I'm married (for 37 years) and the mother of three children. I live in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas, but my heart belongs in my hometown of Memphis, TN, and, hopefully, I will be returning there in the next year or so. I am a lady of leisure who enjoys writing personal essays, memoirs and short stories. I quilt, like to do all sorts of arts and crafts, enjoy rescuing old furniture (especially chairs) from trash piles and giving them a new artistic life. I love to garden but this year the deer have eaten all my flowers, and I am disheartened and defeated. My head is full of a thousand stories to tell about my childhood. I want to do that for my children. I have another thousand of essays there too....about my feelings and opinions. I need to light a fire underneath myself to get them out. Time is wasting.
