Next Summer, I'll ...

Thursday, July, 24, 2008

Even though I’m being faithful to my Guilt-Free Diet (it’s so much easier than the sugar-free diet I once struggled with) ... there are always times when my devotion wavers ....

If I could, I wouldn’t be at my desk this summer, I’d be with this bunch:

sandbox2.jpg  They’re our Adventurists from the May issue, a couple of local Tufts University grad students, Aparna and Jessie, (and a friend, Doug) who are competing in the Send A Cow African Road Rally from London to Cameroon.

I check their web site (sandboxsavants.com) once in a while and love reading the updates from the road. It’s their first big week on the road and their vehicle is being cranky. What’s an adventure in France would be a major commuting headache here.

Maybe, to assuage my potential guilt, I’ll say I’m just in planning mode for next year  ... when I may be driving to Cameroon in this:

Because I believe life truly is an adventure.
