


Sure, they may look like professional athletes, but believe it or not, Barnet Kessel, left, and Gary Brodsky are just regular guys who do some extraordinary stuff in their free time.
They’re captains of a Pan Mass Challenge team, the Platelet Pedalers, who were recently adopted by the Kraft family, owners of the New England Patriots, to support Dana Farber’s Dr. Ken Anderson, a blood cancer researcher.
This year Barnet and Gary are heading up a team of more than 90 riders who hope to raise a total of $500,000 during the course of the 2-day, 192-mile ride that takes place August 1-2. The team has raised $2.5 million in the past 10 years.
What’s the best thing about reading skirt! Boston? "It’s one of the best periodicals I’ve found in a long time," says Gary.
What’s the best thing about wearing a skirt? "These Kokoon skirts (click here for link) feel strangely comfortable," says Barnet.
