My family: Is, believe it or not, even louder than I am.

My work: tends to be an adventure

My passion: perspective and accuracy

My favorite possession: my library

My hometown: most of eastern Maine is proud of what I have accomplished so far, and gossips about me shamelessly

I am thinking about: writing a graphic novel

Words I live by: "If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself, tell yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches." –Rainer Maria Rilke

I can’t live without: learning. And would like to avoid living without Monty Python

What keeps me awake at night: imagining the possibilities

One thing I never want to do again: take a 38 hour Bus from Bangor, Maine to New Orleans, LA. Unless Gus is driving.

If I could be totally wild, I would: write letters to all of my favorite living writers…hey, that’s not a bad idea…

I am guilty of: occasionally playing with dolls.

Right now I’m reading: Emile Zola’s ‘Germinal’

The one item that has changed my life: Henry James’ ‘Portrait of a Lady’

Favorite web site: www.librivox.org, I love having stories read to me.

Last major purchase: a cherry red bass guitar! And it’s about time.

The nickname I wish I had: Stormy. So I would be Stormy Day... why does no one go for that??

My theme song: Roxette – She’s got the Look

If I had a vanity plate on my car, it would say: PNGUINS. It’s a very, very short story.

If I could do it all over again: I would try harder to write every day.

My favorite body part: is a toss up between my hands (collectively) and my voice.

The food I could eat every day: negi hama maki…sushi in general…

If I were a superheroine(or fictional heroine) I would be: a cross between Beatrice from Shakespeare’s ‘Much ado about Nothing’ and Morticia Addams (channeling as much Angelica Huston as possible)- what couldn’t that combo do?

My blog: http://twilightzoneveritas.wordpress.com/

The most important thing I ever lost: A scarf I knit as a gift. Sorry, Justin.

The best thing I ever won: an oratory competition for reciting an excerpt from East of Eden. Thanks, Steinbeck!

My best friend says I am: inimitable.

I still can’t get the hang of: snowboarding without planting my face in the snow.

I wish I’d known: I am my strongest asset.

The world would be a better place, if only: we could remember to be patient and kind. And if Tab made a comeback.

I’d like to learn to: speak at least 7 languages [I’m getting there…]

Something most people don’t know about me: I have acted in the Vagina Monologues. I was The Little Coochie Snorcher that Could!

My mother always said: "Be where you are." Hard to do, but so good for you to try.

\par The worst idea I\rquote ve ever had: originally declaring Astronomy and Astrophysics at Harvard based on the fact that stars are breathtaking. Turns out, my physics skills: not so breathtaking.

The smartest woman I know: My mom. Quelle surprise, I know. But she really is. Ask her anything.

My first job: raking wild blueberries - worst sock tan of my life

What are you most vain about? The hair. Curls down.

Whose diary would you most like to read? [My favorite] Novelist George Eliot, a.k.a Mary Ann Evans Cross

What do you fear the most? Not being useful

Best one-liner you ever heard: "You’re just jealous because I’m already me." – my mom

Always...  bring a book. Often.... bring two.

Never...  underestimate the power of a genuine smile

I wish that there were more spiral staircases.
